for the first time since
for the first time since i was 14, i am not able to fit into my jeans.
not that ive had the same pair of jeans since i was 14 - that would be a little gross. rather, ive wore the same size and style since then.
since the funeral, however, ive gained at least 10 pounds. this changes the jean fit from comfortably-bum-huggin-snug to i-cant-breathe-tight.
since my 501s are a wardrobe staple, im at a loss for what to wear. i can only wear so many skirts before going girl-batty, and the only pair of jeans that doesnt cut me in half are quite dirty.
i remember new jeans making me feel skinny; will the same magic work if the new waistline is 2" larger?

i completely understand what you mean. you may find that working out is a good option. it might give you focus. something to think about other than melissa. make yourself a goal of fitting into your jeans again and set yourself a date. it might work.
I found that after I moved back to Alaska I ended up gaining back about 10 pounds. And like you I had a hard time trying to figure out what to wear since most my clothes I had bought in missouri, and I still haven't been able to completely adopt Homer's Carhart style yet. But I've found working out just maybe 3 times a week is very helpful and I've stopped focusing on my crappy job and being broke. If they have a Curves in Fairbanks I recommend it, it's nice just working out with women and most of the women that go there aren't gym bunnies. Just a suggestion.
dani - surely you remember how much i loved phys ed in high school.
ive never been motivated to be physically active - especailly around other people.
maybe i just need more sex...
Well yes thats even a better idea. Unfortunately I live in Homer and other than Coasties and some guys we went to highschool with I don't forsee that happening in my near future. But goodluck to you !!
