very few of alaskan residents were actually born in alaska; i am one of those few.
apparently it has become a status thing among fairbanks high schoolers - proudly displayed by wearing an alaska grown t-shirt.
now i kind of want one.
is that terribly uncool?

I've always been under the assumption that those shirts are only "cool" because of the hidden drug reference.
Reed told me he's done the Alaskan Grown symbol as a tatoo on a couple of girls. He thought the idea was cool the first time - kind of got fed up after the next few times and now won't do the tatoo.
just about everything can have a hidden drug/sex/insert-taboo-topic-here reference if you try hard enough.
i cant imagine getting it as a tattoo - i dont blame reed for not wanting to do it to anyone else.
