heres the back of my head on one one of those get-up-early-enough-to-shower-but-dont-feel-like-brushing-my-hair-and-doing-something-with-it days (picture by beth).
which is to say this is almost my permanent hair style.
but the beauty of doing my hair this way is that i can go for a week or more without ever brushing my hair so long as i adequately condition each morning.

I call that the Homer 'do cause I swear only people from Homer actually understand how to do it.. People from down south actually thought I spend time to get my hair to look like I hadn't brushed it !! I'm actually sporting that look today

someone should have told me sooner that my head was recognizably homer. its not something i like advertising.
Your not the only one, All my friends do the non brushing ponytail look !! With my hair getting curly as I get older it's all about the level of conditioning.. Mine usually looks like I spent time curly my hair and pinning them on the top of my head in ringlets.. When I actually brush my hair I tend to get a headache, I only do it once a week now.

i used to do that one a lot when my hair was long enough, but i always have to brush my hair. bun or not. i can only use conditioner like once a month, as i get really really severe dandruff. it's uber nasty.
partially why my hair is no longer that long.
i cant get a brush through my hair if i dont condition in the shower and then use a leave in conditioner after.
