that's quite a phrase... i may borrow it: "a betty crocker of a weekend."
by the way, according to my latest snapple cap, alaska touts the highest percentage of people who walk to work. is there any truth to that?
i dont have statistics to pull from my sleeve, but i would guess not. the majority of alaskans live in utterly desolate rural areas where walking to work would take a few hours. not to mention how cold it gets in the winters.
i would say a small percentage in fairbanks (a semi-large town), and a small percentage in homer (a rinky-dink town) walk. i would guess more people in larger cities (like new york) walk.
