i cannot believe that i am going to have to resort to buying flip-flops online. no store in this tundra-ridden town carries any flimsy, non-platform, thong sandals. i am disgusted.

sandals are my lifeblood. my soul. the reason to live. the reason ive had near-frostbitten tootsies. i cannot live without flip-flops.

so. black solid, or beach-towel striped blue? purple?

bah.
where would you buy flip-flops?

6 Love Notes

Oh preach on, no one sales flip-flops in the darn town !! Not even Eagle or wait Safeway I order mine from Old Navy, they're cheap and they last a long time !! I've had a couple pairs that have lasted through some harsh Alaskan winters !!

the ones im wearing were bought over four years ago at fred meyer for like $2. they are finally too thin for walking.

harsh alaskan winters
in homer!? i wore mine way too late into the fairbanks winter one year - im talking around -20°. it really is sad to see the little piggies all swollen and purple.

are you really from Homer? I have a good friend from there.

yea, i was born and raised in Homer. Danielle was raised there as well. i just happened to get out and stay out.

who do you know from there?

Enter Wal-Mart 2004. I think it would be worth a comment to the Wal-Mart construction folks to know they had better stock flip-flops at all times of the year lest we bycott their new establishment.

interesting to note that i never wear that type of sandal. i find them unbearably uncomfortable, and i have ugly feet. i have one pair of sandals that only shoe little parts of my foot. i've had them for like 6 years.
