sherbet
my love turns 23 today.
hence the cake.
and the sherbet.
what sherbet? you ask.
raspberry sherbet
3c sugar
3c water
0.5c orange juice
0.5 cup lemon juice
10 oz pkg frozen raspberries, thawed
1pt whipping cream
milk
boil the sugar and water for 5 minutes together. cool and add orange and lemon juices, then raspberries. whip the whipping cream and add to syrup and juice mixture.
pour the whole thing into a gallon ice cream maker, adding milk until it reaches the freezing level line. ice and salt, blah blah blah.
