60 degree change
since i live in alaska and all, and since people are often amazed and scared at the weather we get up here, i feel justified in saying that it is almost 30 degrees above zero (F).
for those of you at home who are keeping track, that is a change of sixty complete degrees from the beginning of this week (when it was thirty below). i dont know if i have heard of many places where that sort of temperature difference is considered normal.

8 Love Notes
Valette -- just so you know, here in DC it was sunny and 70 degrees today. Just thought you would like to know :-P
-Ryan
yeah but don't you just sort of miss square tires and frozen extension cords?
ryan, i dont care what its like in DC. thhhbbt.
How do your cars handle temp swings like that? Don't your gaskets and fuel lines go all a twitter?
I think Ryan should hush, I remember you and I know where you once lived ;)
its gonna be 80 here today in Pensacola, FL
:D
peter - sometimes there will be ice crystals in the gas line, but theres a substance called Heet that you can add to the fuel to help with that. and you change the kind of oil you put in the car for the winters so the stuff doesnt gum up in the engine.
and when its below zero, everyone plugs their cars in to an outlet. every car up here must have a block heater, and most have an oil pan heater. some cars even have a battery heater, too. if you dont plug in, the car doesnt start. then you have to do the dangerous thing of thawing the car with a hair dryer (if you dont have access to a heated garage).
I LOVE my engine block heater !!!
