grey tuesday

the grey album is dj danger mouse's mix of the vocals from jay-z's black album and music samples from the beatles original white album.

in swoops emi with cease-and-desist orders. as other sites jumped in to make the album freely available, cease-and-desist orders were freely distributed.

february 24 will be grey tuesday: a day of coordinated civil disobedience in protest of emi's censorship attempt. numerous sites will be all grey and will offer the full album as free mp3 downloads.

i will be participating.

6 Love Notes

This is random and totally off topic, but whatever happend to Loren Absher ??

youre good at the off-topic comments. :}

i have no idea. last i heard he was in switzerland for some fast-paced college courses, but he had to have finished that years ago.

It irks me when people disappear, especially people I liked. I could care less about some of the people we went to school with, but he was a likeable fella. I googled him and it said he had graduated from the school in Switzerland in 2003. And thats it. Darn.

even more off topic, someone emailed me a few years ago asking about his brother, damon. they had googled his name and got my site because i had a dream with him in it.

I sometimes see Damon around town, he's looking pretty scary. He has or had a drug problem, and was in trouble for meth or something like that. He doesn't look the Damon Absher I remember from school. But i guess everybody changes, some for the better.

*ahem* ... getting back on topic ... how genius of them was it to include a handy dandy list of all the sites participating so the RIAA can get all participants in one fell swoop?
