how to not do business
back in may i was looking to get some new bras. the local stores (all three of them) did not have the brand/style i wanted in my size, so i decided to order them online. you can order anything online.
i did a search for the brand and style number i wanted and found many places that not only carried it in my size. many site declared that style was not currently in stock.
i also found it at her room through amazon.com. they claimed to have it in stock, so i immediately ordered two different colors and forgot about it. which turned out to be dangerous.
about a month later i got an email saying that one color was in stock and the other was on its way from the factory. two weeks later, another email informed me that both colors were awaiting shipment from the factory. a week or so later, the new email claimed that the shipment had been expected, but there was no word from the factory.
after four months of numerous emails akin to those just described, i finally got the black bra. the white bra came two weeks later.
i wasnt terribly upset because, hey, i didnt need the bras immediately, and i knew that i couldnt get them in town. and lets face it: when i find a bra that fits well and looks good, i am going to stick with the brand and style until they stop making it.
i had the bras and all was well in hooter-ville.
then two days ago i got an email from her room letting me know that my order had just been completed and will be shipped shortly and thank you for choosing her room. i shot back an email explaining that my order had already been delivered and received an auto-generated, "thank you for your feedback. your order has been completed. thank you."
yesterday i got another email confirmation telling me that my order has shipped and here is my ups tracking number.
what?
after much venting on my part, the her room customer service assocaite Tara briefly apologized and asked that i refuse the package so they can credit my credit card.
i am apalled at their apparent lack of competance and will not be shopping with them in the future.

Although Amazon itself is well respected, many Amazon resellers have horrible service. The net abounds with stories like yours (a frequent one is resellers refusing to honor rebates offered on Amazon).
That having been said, one Amazon reseller I would recommend is J&R Music and Computer World (accessible directly at www.jr.com). On any kind of A/V, computer or camera gear, they offer reasonable prices, fast shipping and good customer service.
If you're looking for good bras and undies I tend to order from lanebryant.com and its not the stuff that comes in the magazine... They have nice bras for big hooter girls. It's kinda expensive but they often have sales like buy one get half off. Just a suggestion.
im very picky about the way (my girls | the twins | enter cutesy term of endearment here) look, and have been dissapointed many times with mail-order. i hate ordering a bra that i have not tried on.
