I hate getting back to work and knowing that someone was on my computer and borked some stuff up. But how, I wonder, would someone be able to completely lose all of my Firefox profile settings?
Thank goodness for backups.

I've noticed an occassional bug with FireFox that I haven't been able to reproduce on command that causes FireFox to ask for a profile log-in for no reason whatsoever, and everything is lost when it does that. Shutting down FireFox and starting over usually fixes it, but it's frustrating nonetheless.
The problem is that there's a version of firefox that's currently 'hung' on startup. Since locking the profile is one of the first steps, it tends to bugger things up.
I fix it by opening up the Task Manager, clicking on the /Processes\ tab (sorting by Image Name) and ending all Firefox processes.
I agree it's annoying, and I have no idea what's hanging it, but that fixes the problem.
