Cheering Up

I had this very long post composed in my head about feeling like an impostor as of late, about people’s expectations of me and my apparent inability to live up to those expectations.

But as I sat down between giant projects to toss that post into typed words, I realized, gosh, this isn’t nearly as interesting or funny as I wanted it to be. It’s rather quite depressing.

Which is how I’ve been: uninteresting and unfunny and quite depressing. And those aren’t really the qualities that I need to be sharing with everyone, dragging everyone down into them with me.

And so I ask of you a favor: could you post something to cheer me up? Maybe a cute picture, a funny video, even a knock-knock joke would suffice.

Don’t fail me now, Innernet.

Ah, life? What does one make of it other than a bowl of wheat flakes and a revamped semi-preachy photo mag that tries to sell us Fabulous Hits of The Fifties?

Particularly when lives are filled with destruction, jousting and the news. Wait, actually, those are cool.

Still, the most important thing to realize is that the most telling way to assure yourself that you’re doing an excellent job, is to think that you’re not. Idiots always think they’re doing a great job.

Tomorrow, when you are at the office, you can look at the pic of a horse that hangs on the wall (I assume). Then you can remember the little girl that drew it, and the mischievious smile she is so good at sharing. Then, you could employ the grinchlike smile yourself, and keep it there all day, never telling anyone of your intentions.

Also, said little girl, LOVES flip flops, no socks and wearing her hair in funky styles…hmm sounds familiar

I scanned my ass and mailed it to grandma…
