When I did my taxes back on April 14, I surprised myself with the amount of my refund. There were many changes in my life in 2006 that accounted for the size of the refund, but I was surprised nonetheless.
I sent it off with good luck wishes and certified stamps and X’s and O’s.
And then the IRS promptly sent my tax return back to me with a big note saying, “You totally forgot to sign this form you moran kthxbye.”
Oh. Erm. Right. So I signed the form and sent it in. Again. A month after I sent it in (unsigned) the first time.
And promptly forgot about it.
Until today! When my savings account magically grew! By a whole lot of dollars!
Dollars that I never figured into any budget for any daily living or super secret special San Francisco trips that may or may not be taking place in August.
Dollars that could be put toward my student loans. Or savings.
Or I could blow it all on a shiny new camera.
Ooh, shiny.
ooooh. very very shiny.
do both - put some on the student loan and the rest on the shiny camera - then there’s no guilt since you made a payment on the loan.
That’s how I’d roll, anyway.
or, hello, wedding reception in portland on july 28th… wherein you could finally meet me!!!
Unfortunately, it’s not enough dollars for a flight to Portland and two hotel nights. I’m always amazed at how cheap it is to fly from the East coast to the West compared to flying anywhere from Alaska.
Go for the camera…can never have too many. Stumbled on your site,.. enjoy it and your pics.
I’d be more than happy to help you figure out what to do with that money. Send it my way and we’ll get to planning right away.
Camera. Mine is the second love of my life - I (seriously, stop laughing!) have daydreams about it sometimes.
oh come now. i could certainly find you suitable housing. it just may not involve a turn-down service. though we could probably do something about the little chocolate mint on your pillow. :)
