Time in Every Young Woman's Life
Olive has been a real pill lately. Barking and crying and biting and being an all-around snot, earning many a time out. Yesterday we noticed some blood on one of her toys and discovered a few of her teeth were extremely loose. I gave her a quarter of an aspirin, about 80mg like a baby aspirin, and that seemed to help a bit. Poor thing wasn't feeling well because she was teething.
And then tonight I pointed out a bit of blood on Steve's pants. That's weird, what's with the blood? He mentioned that he thought she had peed a bit of blood earlier, and I immediately flipped her over for some possibly-inappropriate inspection.
There was no-way no-how going to be a dog in heat in my house. I've done it once, and I never want to do it again.
Yeah. Olive is in heat.
Which is perfect timing because her spaying appointment is on Wednesday.
Isn't she too young for this?

Unfortunately it's not too early, been there, done that. Have you talked to your vet? some prefer to wait on spaying a dog in heat until it's passed. just a FYI if you haven't already thought of it. good luck.
I called the vet first thing this morning, and they want to wait. Which I completely understand. I went out and bought some actual puppy panties tonight - when Lacey was in heat, all I could find were size XL so we had to make do. Olive doesn't mind the panties at all, and it keeps my furniture clean.
I've got a weird question... I can never read all of your dream entries. The sheep jumping over the fence picture covers up about half the entry and I can't get it to go down...
Is that 'cuz you don't want them to be read? Or is just 'cuz I'm computer illiterate? :)
Becca: No, it's not your computer. My dreams layout doesn't work with IE7; I've known this for a while, but never bothered to change it. I mean to, someday.
